Cornwall Day 3: Bristol & Bath

UK: Tuesday (170810); 1430 hours.

Read Day 1 and Day 2 posts.

Bristol.

We were given time till 12pm to explore Bristol a little before checking out from the hotel. Woke up at 7 plus and started our "exploration" (more of a shopping spree actually) in the city.

Us, with a statue of Neptune on the way to The Mall and Cabot Circus.

(Psst, both are shopping centres *wink wink*)

Clifton Suspension Bridge.

Behold!

Credits goes to this man.

The bridge has been there for over 100 years and still standing strong.

Natural slide.

Bath - the last destination of the trip.

The Pump Room.

Roman Baths.

Needed an entrance fee of £10 if I'm not mistaken so we did not enter.

Bath Abbey.

"Bath Abbey is an active Christian Church situated at the heart of the city. Founded in 1499, it stands on the site of an earlier Norman Cathedral and the original Abbey Church built in the 8th century."

The lectern from which the Bible is read.

The Choir Stand.

The ceiling.

Beautifully designed.

The High Altar and the great East window with 56 scenes from the life of our Lord.

(Seriously, I'm referring to the pamphlet I got. You think I can remember all these? Lol.)

Moving on..

Nice eh!

Pulteney Bridge and River Avon.

And now we were on the other side.

They have such nice pillows; just lying on their backs.

The Circus.

Townhouses built in a circle.

Like this!

Designed by John Wood the Elder (dad) and completed by John Wood the Younger (son).

Royal Crescent.

Nah, liddis.

Designed and built by John Wood the Younger.

Geez, both dad and son must have great love for architecture.

Royal Victoria Park.

We came across many lion statues around the city. Guess they are like Superlambananas in Liverpool; called Lions of Bath.

These are the few pretty ones.

It was time to called it a day, and back to Sheffield we went.

With our bus driver for the trip.

Thank you, Mr Louis!

Had a great and enjoyable trip though it was super tiring. Thank you, Momma and Poppa for giving me the chance to see the other side of the world.

PS: It's Poppa's birthday today! Happy Birthday! :D

PPS: Hasil-hasil shopping and souvenirs post next!
