Malaysia's Legacy

Yasmin Ahmad passed away last night at around 11 something at night.

It will be hard to find another who can make movies like Rabun and Sepet. Needless to say, there will be no more touching Petronas advertisements anymore from her.

I still remember the time when I first watched Sepet. My friends and I went to the cinema and were forced to watch it because the other cinemas were full. We hesitated at first, thinking was the movie worth watching. But in the end, a few of us ended up in tears. Sepet was that good. It was a simple movie that all of us could relate to our daily lives.

I watched Gubra too. But did not find the time to see Muallaf and Talentime yet.

It was sad that Yasmin Ahmad passed away at a young age of 51 due to stroke. Just like Michael Jackson, she will leave her legacy behind.

Remembering The Days In Turquoise

Reunions.

One of the best things that could happen on earth.

It's really amazing how each one of us can still babble like crazy just like how we did during our high school days. And needless to say, it's amazing to see the changes we all had since 2005.

I just love reunions so much. We get together, have a cuppa and talk about stupid things that we do back then and we all can feel young again together! Ain't it great?

It's so good seeing Lammie after so long. Still as bubbly.

You see me here, fooling with Jo's DSLR, looking like Cyclops.

Just got a hair cut. Looked like crap.

The next day; at Ee Ling's crib for karaoke.

*Brighter pictures credits to Pui Yun.

There's more but I've yet to get 'em. This shall settle for the time being.

Can You Feel The Mou Liao-ness In This?

These are some parts of the MSN conversation of Thengy and I.

M: Why you didn't online wan?
T: Nowadays very cold, so didn't online lor.
M: Very cold so you didn't online? I don't see any connection in it.
T: I sit next to the window. So night time I must snuggle into bed early and sleep. Nowadays some more got hail storm.
M: (Wanted to ask what is hail storm.)
T: Like raining ice-kacang only!
M: Wtf hahahahahahahahahaha. Ice-kacang but without red beans and cendol and syrup!
T: Now I wanna eat ice-kacang. How? Cendol reminds me of pei tai (nose snot).
M: WTF! (But still laughing very hard.)

So after that, we started talking about Raymond Lam who came to Jusco Ipoh last Sunday. I was mentioning about him having a wardrobe malfunction in which he showed up in three quarter pants and a pair of boots.

M: So ugly looking lor. His leg so hairy somemore.
T: HAHAHAHA.
M: And you know what? People said those who are damn hairy have high sex drive.
T: Deng! You very mou liao lor!
M: HAHAHAHA. Mou liao?? It's mou liu! Or wu liao. Not mou liao la!

(Mou liu is.. kinda like 'nonsensical' in Cantonese. Correct me if I'm wrong about the translation because I'm having a hard time finding out the real meaning of mou liu. Whereas wu liao is the Mandarin way of saying it.)

She mixed up both ways to say it to become mou liao.

God. I swear I was laughing so hard until my stomach was hurting.

Thengy can be so random at times, you feel like smacking her. But you don't have the heart to do so. Because she's just so lovable!

I miss Thengy!

Overhauled Rum Jungle

Tell you something really incredible. I woke up at 3pm today. I think I slept like for nearly 12 hours? Woot. And woke up with a slight hang over 'cuz I drank quite a couple of cups yesterday.

Followed dad for dinner with his friends in 1919 yesterday night. The uncle who treated us dinner ordered so many types of dishes. Was so full till the brim. And later he told us there was still Chinese Pancake and tong sui. That was not the end. There was still ice-cream after that. Gawd. I gave mine to dad. His friend said dad's effort to cut down his weight went into the drain because of me. Heh.

Headed home after that. Then Vic asked whether I wanted to tag along to Rum Jungle which is now known as RJ Club. It underwent some renovation so it doesn't look like a jungle now at least. I kinda like the place. More of a higher standard. But I still hate the live band with the stupid violin and saxophone. Hello, clubs are meant to play some R&B and hip songs!

The line

The bar

After some time drinking, we got bored so.. it was time for (fill in the blanks)!

All the vain pots

I'm bringing sexy back

I have to admit I was a lil' erm, wing-ed yesterday night. I had four different types of alcohol on the same night! Red and white wine during dinner and Absolut Vodka and some beer in RJ. So, err.. I was a little crazy. Heh.

Enjoyed. =D

Today

I think I just lost my voice. Just came back from karaoke not too long ago and I'm sitting here blogging about it already.

Very efficient.

It was Vic, Bernard and I - yes, just the three of us - today. Headed to JJ and had Kenny Roger's for lunch.

My Quarter Meal with Coleslaw and two portions of Macaroni & Cheese.
Nom nom nom.

Vic's Half Meal - but unfortunately a quarter was missing in the picture and was later replaced - with Macaroni & Cheese, Mashed Potatoes and Garlic Potato.
Nom nom nom.

Bernard's set; comes with a soup, rice, Caesar's Salad, and some shit small chunks and pieces of fruits.

Chocolate muffin, anyone?
Nommmmmmm.

Then, went along with our plan to "sing our heart out". But it was full so we had to wait for an hour or so. So off we went jalan-jalan.

And now I want these wedges! How?? Grr..

Poser!

Emo-ing

Totally had no idea why we were given such a big room which could fit at least 8 to 10 persons when there were only three of us. It was freezing! Even my ears couldn't take it so I had to put my hoodie on. Someone said I looked like a dick-head. Like wtf? Hahaha.

Irresistible muffin, I couldn't leave it out of the pictures!

Okay I gotta get ready for dinner with dad. Ta~
