#1: Belgium

Almost three months since I'm back from the UK and here I am, updating about the Europe trip.

I have forgotten most of the details already. T_T

Will try my best to urm, get things right.


After leaving Sheffield at 3am on 17th September, we drove all the way to London and then to the UK/France border, Dover to catch the ferry across the Channel to get to Calais.

P&O Ferries.

We then travelled to Brussels, Belgium.

I didn't know the 'peeing boy' originated from Belgium.

Lots of chocolates!

And waffles! Yum yum.

They each range from €0.50 - €2.50 (if I'm not mistaken), depending on the toppings.

We had the one with Nutella (fourth from right, bottom row) and the one with icing sugar (far right, bottom row).

Finger lickin' good! (Although that line is supposed to go with KFC.)

And this is some building.

Due to the reason that our tour guide was a Chinese who lived in France, he only spoke Mandarin, a little Cantonese (not like I understood) and NO ENGLISH. He changed all the buildings' and places' names into Mandarin. Brussels was like 'BU-LU-SAI' wtfffff. Had to rely on some friends to do the translation.

I don't get it, he's been living in Europe for so many years but he doesn't speak English???? Sigh.

Anyway, day 1 was a short day because everyone was really tired from not sleeping well in the coach. Had dinner and then headed back to the hotel for some good rest!

Day 2.

We look forward for breakfast everyday.

And then we got bored towards the end because it was the same thing most of the time. :/

Stopped at the Atomium for a little to get some photo shots.

This thing, forms the shape of a unit cell of an iron crystal magnified 165 BILLION times.

That's it for Belgium. Short time we had there I know, but Netherlands was up next!

Stopped somewhere in between our journey to have lunch.

Forgot what burger this was, but I know I can't find it in Malaysia.

The Last Chapter: Sheffield

I nearly started my post with > UK: Saturday (231010); 0210 hours. And then I remembered that I'm already back home. -_-

Damn I miss Sheffield so much. :'(

Promised promised promised myself to return there sometime in the future. I miss my room in Charlotte Court. I miss walking 20 minutes in the cool breeze to Uni. I miss going grocery shopping. I miss experimenting in the kitchen. Omg I miss so many things. I know, it's weird to be missing stuffs in Malaysia when I'm over there and when I'm back here I'm missing things back in the UK.

Human nature.

It was awesome being overseas even though it wasn't for a long period. (In a way thank goodness I wasn't there longer because I might have turned into a big fat giant.)

I came to know of different types of people: kiasu ones, kiasi ones, ignorant ones, selfish ones, pretentious ones, free-riders, attention-seekers, etc. Not forgetting those who were really my friends.

These four months would be a once-in-a-lifetime memory that I will never ever forget. Definitely would not have the chance to experience it if not for my parents who sent me there. Thank you Ma and Pa.

Sheffield, you will always be a part of me.

Damn. I wanted to update something cheerful in here but it turned out emo. Hahaha.

Currently filtering all the photos taken during the one month travel period. The amount of photos can seriously make me go bonkers. I swear.

HELLO I'M DONE WITH MY EXAMS!!! :D :D :D

I'm leaving for Europe later tonight at 0230 hours.

I won't have constant internet connection from now on for a month plus but I'll try to upload a picture on my whereabouts as frequent as possible. I'LL TRY. Hahaha.

Failed Birthday Speech

UK: Tuesday (140910); 0015 hours.

I'm so sleepy. Thanks to Corporate Finance I only had four hours of sleep last night and I'm wide awake until now. Still need to study for Thursday. T_T

Finance exam later at 1000 hours and I'm super hungry now I can eat a cow.

11. (I really shouldn't be thinking more. So hungry. -_-)

In no particular order, really. Just as long as I get to eat them! I will pig on food for like two weeks first. No care no care!

When The Clock Hit 12

UK: Saturday (110910); 1715 hours.

Birthday surprise my flatmates and another three friends gave me when the clock hit 0000 hours on 7th September 2010.

I never knew that was coming, seriously. Was so touched!

See how sneaky they were; using the alarm thing to tempt me out of the room. But I thought they were fooling around and when the alarm didn't stop I thought it was MY ROOM'S FIRE ALARM. Sheesh.

They couldn't get any candles but instead made a 'M' on the cake using Kit Kats. Aww..

The guys - Yan Zhang and Chong were too shy.
